Gateway Solo 2150 Help.

Feb 18, 2005 12:54AM PST

I have a Gateway Solo 2150 that will not power up? The note book is completely dead. I know the battery is probably shot, as the note book has not been used for a very long time. I plugged the adapter up to it , still nothing. I feel the adapter is still good as the light on it is still functioning. What I need to know is,if the power adapter is good and it still doesn't come on ,what other problem could it have.
I would appreciate any help I could get on this as I would very much like to get the notebook going to give to my Granddaughter. Thanks, Pajemar

I would just like to get an idea of what other things could be wrong with the notebook not powering on?
Harddrive, motherboard, ect. and if it would be worth the cost to have it fixed. Thanks -pajemar

You can remove what you can and retest.

But laptops are fairly much an integrated affair that resists repair by novices. Unlike desktops where we can strip it down to a few pieces and obtain cheap replacement parts, there are no cheap replacement parts in the laptop world.

Both sites noted will give quotes and more. It appears you didn't ask them or are not in the country they service.
