Gateway Shadow Laptop

Nov 14, 2005 9:05PM PST

I was looking for a laptop that has the new hyperthreading technology and came across the gateway shadow with the following specs

Gateway Shadow Laptop PC, Intel P4 3.06GHz, 1GB+DDR, 80GB HD, DVD Burner, 15.4" TFT LCD Screen.

It has an ultra wide screen with the new technology that makes the screen appear brighter and more crisp. I have read a lot of reviews stating that Gateway has devoted a lot of there efforts into becoming more in the mix as far as the laptop race. They have been lagging behind recently. I also like there award winning customer service and warrantly plans. Is this a good laptop?

These are generally considered the least desirable processors in notebooks...do you have a particular application in mind for which this is a good choice?

I did not do enough research and am now considering whether or not to return this item before the January deadline. I am now beginning to realize I may have made a mistake. What is the best processor available in a notebook right now?

That's a subject of great debate...

I think it's a Pentium M, but that's because it fits my priorities and I'm not that concerned about 64 bit issues. Other will tell you it's the Turion, or even the Atlon 64 (I don't think you'll find many P4 fans however) Below you will find a link that should prove helpful to you:
