Gateway Ping Failure-Samsung Smart TV 7000 Series

by miss_paris_miss_ny / July 3, 2013 1:56 PM PDT

I'm beyond frustrated.

I'm able to connect my computer and cell phone to my wifi flawless, however, the lan adapter is hung up on the "gateway ping" fail.

What the heck is going on?

I can't even sign on automatically through my wifi and had to enter the ip address, subnet mask, gateway, and dns manually and it just stops at gateway ping.

do i buy a new adapter?

do i buy a new router?

help. i'm about to throw my heel through my TV!

There are routers that don't work quite right such as this bridge the router maker fixed eventually.

There are some that want to claim this is a bug in the Samsung product but as you dive deeper you see Samsung was just being strict about IP.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
