So far so good. I definitely went overboard from 512mb to 2gb, but there wasn't too much of a price difference from 1 to 2gb so I just went with the 2GB. It's somewhat faster in general. I was kinda hoping it would speed up my boot time which is currently bout 1min 45sec. It didn't. : (
no gaming, a lot of word processing, some movie watching, rare video editing
The hard drive I'm pretty sure I'll eventually upgrade as I can just barely fit all my iTunes music and tv shows on this one; I ended up moving all of it to an external drive so there's still a good 10gbs of space to work with. would be nice to have everything on one though.
I've removed the power button panel and keyboard. I've taken out all of the screws on the backside, disengaged the screen, and removed the screws underneath. The top panel is almost entirely free except for one point near the back right corner. I cannot see anymore screws and have slipped a plastic card all around the area attempting to find a tab but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know how to complete this last piece of the disassembly?? You're help would be much appreciated!
