Gateway MX6027 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15.4" TFT

Hi, I'm looking to buy a laptop that is inexpensive, allows connection to wireless networks, has an good enough processor for video and photo editing and I'm hoping it can burn CDs. SO far I've found this laptop. Here is link to it from Futureshop Canada, where I will probably buy it: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10066867&catid=22495&logon=&langid=EN

I want to know two things: can it burn CDs or DVDs and is it an okay laptop? I'm also lookig at a Compaq Presario found, also on futureshop.ca, at:

Which one do you think is better?

Thanks ahead of time for responding,
Giancarlo

HP/Compaq is a more stable company right now.

I was more leaning toward the Compaq so that's good. Thanks for letting me know.

Video work may be tedious.

The CPU doesn't have the oomph of the centrinos, turions and such. But it may get the job done (video work) eventually.

Which CPU? The one on the Gateway or the one on the Compaq? Or both? Thanks for the tips Bob
