N/M I restarted the router and everything is good ![]()
I have a high speed modem which is not dial-up but I guess broadband in a room downstairs. I connect the ethernet cord to a router which sends wireless signals to a laptop upstairs. I was able to get online wirelessly with the laptop and with the desktop computer downstairs. But in my laptop "network connections" area in the control pannel, I accidently deleted what I believe was Gateway Internet Connection or something like that. Now the wireless laptop or wireless connection shows that there is a connection but it can't connect. And now the downstairs desktop can't get online. So whatever I did, it must have done something to either the router or modem. I tried disconnecting the router and just using the main modem cord to go to the desktop but that didn't help. When I did that, it said there was a LAN connection but the internet wouldn't work. Please help
