GATEWAY 56" SHUTS OFF AND RESTARTS

by RAYLANCER1 / January 30, 2009 10:56 AM PST

Hello,
I have Gateway GTWR56M103. The problem I got is TV shuts off after 2-10 min of use. I bought brand new lam Philips 100W 1.3 E23. It was working fine for about 2 month and again start shutting down after 10min and restarting itself and work for 2-5 min and same thing over and over. Lights are flashing and I know that is a trouble code for faulty lamp. I think this is the ballast vent bad. I found manual and it says EUC120P/H11, but in my TV ballast says EUC120P/H00. 400mm.
I looked over all forums and couldn?t fined final answer of the same problems that people have. As well as a parts are not available.
Anybody who already fixed their TV?s, please respond. Thank you.

This may be blunt, so my apologies in advance; STOP BUYING CRAP!!! Spend the extra money for good/reputable electronics and you should have no problems.

Yee?..You right, I would never buy the Gateway products. I already had negative experience with computer!
This time little bit different? it was a freebie? My friend was moving, so couldn?t fit in the truck, so hi left it for me. Two month I was happy watching TV and oooops! Then I took it to the repair shop, they refused to touch it. Now I?m trying to fix it myself. Have not got far?

PLASMA SITE HERE ON C-NET!!! PROBLEMS UPON PROBLEMS.

I'D SUGGEST A PANASONIC 50" OR 58" PLASMA; SAMSUNG ALSO.

I'VE OWNED TWO GATEWAY COMPUTERS (pre-ACER,) THEY WERE FANTASTIC,

HOWEVER MY MONITOR IS A SAMSUNG LCD (STILL KICKING).........
