An article from the Boston Globe on Gas Heating conversion costs.
"Oil Change by Erin Ailworth Aug. 24, 2008."
This will help you all that are interested in saving high heating costs this coming winter season.
? Gas main connection for example: Up to the first 100 feet free. $20-$40 for each additional foot.
? Gas line to furnace: About $400 for 100 ft.
? Permit fees $40-$200.
? Furnace $2,500-$4,000.
? Chimney liner about $1,000.
? Installation about $2,500
? Oil tank disposal and the Oil Furnace $300-$750.
If you have oil in your tank, the demolition company will purchase the oil from you.
The unit has to be rewired also. Figure an electrician and his helper @ $125.00 per hour or about $350-$400 for a simple install.
I hope this helps. The article from the Boston Globe is helpful and current.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
