GAO to kill $1 paper bill, Hey GAO, it is about time.

Mar 9, 2011 8:15PM PST

Dear Buzz Gang and Crew,
I remember the day when I use to do chores around the house or mow the yard for my dad and he would reach into his pocket and pull out a spare $1 dollar bill. I thought I was the richest kid in the world...hmmmm. Wink

Now the GAO (Government Accountability office) for the U.S. wants to get rid of the $1 dollar bill. Reports are indicating that the U.S. will save $5 billion over the next 30 years in paper cost because it cost more to make the bill than what it is worth.

Although with mobile phones and devices getting into transaction based systems, it will not be long when my nieces and nephews ask me to pull put my phone to send money to their phone.

Anybody got some spare phone? That just does not sound right. Happy
