Gaming PC Upgrade Help

Oct 9, 2015 2:24AM PDT

Hey everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my mid-level PC for the next generation of games (Fallout 4, XCOM 2, Battlefront). My current set up:

AMD FX-6300 Six Core 3.5 Ghz
8 Gigs RAM
Radeon R9 270

I've been looking at the Radeon R9 390x, is this a good idea? Will this allow me to run newer games on High/Max?Any other suggestions?
I'm away from my PC otherwise i'd have more info
Thanks

How I research that.

I'll look on google with searches like
Tomshardware R9 390x
To see if the games were tested on that new GPU. My bet is that high settings are possible and review/tests will confirm.

That's a nice card.
On the down side that card is big......better measure before buying.
That card uses some serious power....300w+....better have a whopper psu.
