Go find the y50 in a shop to make your call. The office has a few prior models and are used daily.

Hi guys, having skimmed through the first page of these forums I'm very shamed having to ask a question that is apparently asked often. I feel as though each persons question pertaining to buying a laptop is a bit more personal and specific IMO.
I thank anyone in advance who replies in good measure.
Now, onto business.
No Man's Sky, a game coming out this year, is the only reason I want to purchase a gaming laptop.
That being said, I will also be playing a handful of other games that are currently out and others that will be released in the future.
Current games include:
Skyrim
DayZ
Fallout 3 plus future title
and a slew of other titles.
So, generally, the laptop will need to be mid to high end. I'd prefer high end but with a budget of $900 ya get what ya pay for.
The keyboard would have to have a backlight.
I could care less about looks or weight. As long as the cooling system works well enough so I won't have to purchase a separate cooling fan
I'm a fan of ASUS and Acer
Saw an MSI laptop, looked promising but I'm not very tech savvy so my judgement is flawed, I don't trust it.
That's why I'm here, to trust you guys ![]()
So I believe my question is this...
What is your personal opinion of a couple laptops I should look into?
I heard of the Lenovo Y50... but it's supposed to lack in screen display quality, which is a deal breaker for me.
And again, thanks in advance to whoever is not upset about having to answer another laptop buyer question lol :-P
