Remember that gaming is hard on laptops. Figure 2 year life span and you are ready for a gaming laptop.
Hi guys. I'm looking for some advice on buying a laptop which will be able to handle all my needs:
1. Diablo 3.
2. ARMA 2/DayZ.
3. Cubase, fairly heavy music processing.
4. PS2 emulation (I found my FFX disc the other day :D).
Now, this is the first time I'll be buying a laptop. It NEEDS to be a laptop, as I'll be recording music in various locations at short notice. But I'm also selling my desktop to partly fund it, so I want it to be able to handle my gaming too. I should stress that I simply don't care about having the graphics on maximum settings - low-medium is fine as long as the games will run smoooooothly.
From what I gather it mainly comes down to the graphics card. Problem is, it's all just numbers to me. I can surmise that Geforce GT 630m is better than GT 540m, but by how much? Is the amount of memory (1 vs 2 gig) that important? Will a laptop running the 540m, such as this:
Be enough for my needs? Or should I be looking at this:
For the 630m? The first of those two seems to have a much better processor...
Sorry if this was incoherent. Been a loooong day. Would love a quick reply
