i was looking at getting an new laptop, and someone suggested an alienware laptop. I've been out of the comp;uter loop for a long time. All I've heard is that they're great gaming laptops. do they live up to the hype? Feel free to suggest better models that come to mind.

After sales service and repairs have been problematic so type in ALIENWARE in our search in this forum to see what others have found.

I'd not give them a dime.

So what to look for? If this is a gamer's laptop I look for...

1. XP.
2. 1GB RAM.
3. 256MB Video Ram.
4. DualCore.

If Vista, up that to 2GB RAM.
