Gaming for the Zune!

by Teccom747 / February 20, 2008 8:57 AM PST

Looks like games are coming for the Zune after all!

Microsoft just announed XNA Studio developers will be able to use the Zune as a multiplayer wireless mobile gaming platform! It will come as an update to Zune users and will incorporate the use of the Zune's Zune Pad to control the games and will also take advantage of the WiFi to allow you to play with your friends!

Also, there is room to believe that XBOX games and XBOX integration may be coming to the Zune (in a smaller form of course).

Sounds buzz worthy!

Thanks, Jared Marino

If they did bring xbox LIVE arcade games to the Zune, that would appeal to more or all gamers rather than the game emulatros for the iPhone/iPod Touch.

Yeah, they could totally make the Zune similar to the Nintendo DS, which integrates with Nintendo Wii nicely.

This was the one last thing I wanted the zune to have before I bought one. Now I'm going to be able to buy one without any regrets.

Hmm... does this count for my prediction that in 2008 MS would release a hand held gaming system? Happy I don't think it does, but still it's pretty cool. However if I had to pick between a portable media device that happened to play games or the other way around (such as the PSP) I'd want the latter. It's easy to use game controls to also control media content, it's not so easy to use the controls for a media player to play games. But then I never really followed the Zune closely, so maybe it has better controls than I'm remembering.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
