Answer
Gamecheap co. - key worked
Nov 27, 2016 8:54AM PST

I created a CNET account to weigh in on this question because I had the same question as Oldartq about legitimacy. I work as a computer technician and have installed my share of operating systems at work. I took a chance and purchased a Windows 10 Professional 32/64 bit global license OEM key download this weekend from Gamecheap for 39.95 and installed the OS yesterday. The Windows 10 key activated successfully. There were over 600 positive reviews from TrustPilot for this company, but I still took steps to be sure. I didn't use my real credit card; I purchased a Visa gift card from Walgreen's to use on the site (the site also accepts PayPal). Also, after purchase of the key, Gamecheap sends a link to the operating system ISO download hosted on their site. Again, just to be safe, I didn't use the Gamecheap ISO. I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO directly from the Microsoft web site to test if the key was really legitimate. I can say, yes, the Windows 10 Professional key provided by Gamecheap activated with the direct-from-Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit ISO. (I used free ImgBurn software to make a Windows installation DVD from the ISO.) I wiped my dad's Windows Vista HP m8000 computer (from 200Cool for a clean OS installation instead of upgrading. Dad isn't ready to buy a new computer yet, and I didn't want him to pay $100+ for Windows 10 elsewhere. --Becky

I was going to take a chance with them also, but...

the information that was require for download I thought was not necessary, so I email them to see if that can be skip (like my telephone number). Anyway, I didn't get any reply so I just forget about the purchase.

Answer
I bought Win 10 OEM

Reliable and supportive

I bought a Windows 10 Home, single use OEM (that supposed to work only on one computer) for almost $51 Canadian $. (US$ was $37.50 on the site)
at first It didn't work since the Gamecheap version was not compatible with my already installed window.
( I had an ISO version installed from Microsoft on VMware on macbook-pro, single language win10 home)
(I contacted Microsoft and they verified the key is valid but is not matching the version)
The support of Gamecheap was really supportive and finally the day after, they guided me how to upgrade my windows with a temporary Microsoft key and now I have a legit Win 10 pro, and they gave me a Win10 pro key (OEM), with no additional cost (pro OEM key costs about 2$US more).
I appreciate the service.
