Game mode or no?

by broncos77 / May 2, 2007 11:44 PM PDT

I have a samsung HL-S7178W, and I'm using HDMI w/ my 360 elite. Game mode on looks not as good, but I'm wondering if it makes a big difference in the processing time.

Anybody?

I don't have a tv that has this mode but had read about it when I was in the market for new HDTV (I went with CRT). I game a lot so this was of interest to me. I never read any really positve things about game mode although this was a Sharp LCD that I was investigating.

Since you don't seem to be having any luck getting responses, here's a couple of things you could try:

1) post same thread in Games & Gear forum on CNET if you have not done so;

2) Check out avsforum.com ;once there you could either research in their xbox section; look and see if there is an owner's thread for your specific samsung model and do a search on game mode;

3) maybe repost your thread in home/audio with different title; I am guessing that when most people read the title about game mode they're not even stopping to read your question. I know there is a CNET member who works for Samsung and maybe if samsung (model #) and game mode was included in the title of your post, he might be more apt to see it.

My own question to you would be are you having any gaming problems (lag, blurring to name a couple) when playing the 360 while not on game mode. If it was me and it looks/plays good with game mode off, I'd leave it like that.

Sorry I could not be as much help. But that's what I'd do if I had not found the answer yet

James

I'll repost it and see if I can get some good info. I appreciate your post, and I'll change the title.

I'm not positive I'm experiencing lag, but I'm not positive I'm not experiencing lag.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
