Game Development Software

Apr 27, 2006 12:36PM PDT

I am looking for a way to create card games without or very little code. If this is not possible then I need to know what is the best game development software within reason (price wise that is) that I can get.

I a trying to recreate a game that no longer exist for the PC as we know it now, it is an old DOS game.

Thanks for any help.

OH, it has to be windows, I run 2000.

Thanks again for any help.

In another post you claim to be the programmer. This casts you in a strange light that you may be a shill.

Does this help me find the INFO in need?
May 2, 2006 8:55AM PDT

I asked a simple question and I wanted a simple answer not a wild tangent on if the person supplying the answer is a programmer or not.

Do you have any information as to the question of a good program to create simple games?

Thanks

I'll write that I doubt one of the responders.

But such software could be researched on google.com or even attempted with what software you have now.

-> Without a reference point of your current language skills and what tools you own now, this discussion has little traction.

I know very little about game development, I just want some little or no code software to do simple games for my children or myself. If I goggle I may get a million hits and I would even know where to start.

Thanks for the help anyway.

If this is so, then any direction is good.

A trip to a good book store should find fine titles on game programming. In fact I recall one that included development tools for you to start with.

This is my reccomendation. Go to a good book store. Go to a few good book stores.
