Galaxy Tab 3 Lite WiFi connection errors

by Sam Ellis / December 1, 2015 3:25 PM PST

I apologize in advance if this is an incorrect post type, I am new to the website.

The problem that has been affecting me recently is WiFi having slight issues that it seems are new. Recently I sent in my Tablet to a repair shop; my screen had cracked, and I received it to find that certain applications are not connecting to my internet. The reason that this is very ***** is the fact that a small few still have the ability to connect. I checked my settings, tried several of my installed applications, and none of them seem to work besides the couple. Other devices can work with the internet, including other Samsung devices. The affected applications are as follows -

kik messenger
Skype
Twitch.tv
reddit is fun
Netflix
Puffin Web Browser
Twitter
Facebook
All Google applications

Tablet specifications -
Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (8Gig White)
Model number: SM-T110
Android version: 4.2.2

WiFi specifications -
Connected
Very Strong
Link speed: 65Mbps
Security: WPA/WPA2 PSK

And went to the Play store to get Twitch TV but can't find that.

So I can't check this out.

There is no Android logo that appears for my device, but there are two Samsung logos that appear. By reset, do you mean hard reset/factory reset?

Yes.

That's one idea. You didn't answer my post which needs an answer. Why? Because if you are getting apps outside the Play store, there are apps that damage the tablet.

Excuse me for not responding to your last comment, I didn't notice it. The link to Twitch is here. I just earlier did a factory reset, and everything seems to be working fine now.

"Twitch.tv" which when I looked on the play store wasn't found. There was a near match on another APK web page but due to http://arstechnica.com/security/2015/11/new-type-of-auto-rooting-android-adware-is-nearly-impossible-to-remove/
I would never install that as to what you can read in the news.

OK, Twitch is installed and I picked the feed at the top left. Seems to be working with the usual lag and pause.

-> You claim you can't connect. Here's some notes about my setup.

1. I have a newer router with dual core CPU, etc.
2. I contribute to CNET Networking forum.
3. My T310 is usually factory reset ready for testing. Clean!
4. I use the Google DNS for the router's DHCP and router DNS.
5. Coverage is great and I'm on the same floor as the router.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
