Question

Galaxy Note 7 replacement shipping

Sep 4, 2016 8:43AM PDT

Hi, one week ago I bought the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7, I've transferred all my files from my old Note 5 to the new device and at the end of the week I got a call from Samsung Tunisia asking me to return my phone so they can replace it with a new one because of the recent battery explosion risk problem. My question is : How long approximately will it take for Samsung to send me back a new Note 7 from Korea to Tunisia?

That question is put to Samsung that called you.

Already asked.

I already asked them the same question they told me it will take approximately a month but they weren't 100% sure neither was I. When I pre-ordered the phone they told me it'll come to Tunisia at the end of October but it was rushed and shipped on September first.

Answer
How could we know how long ?

But as an off topic,
I would make sure I back up all of those files and restore the phone to factory condition before sending it back so no one else can steal those files ,credit card numbers etc...

Great idea.

Factory reset is a good idea. There are many articles that go both ways if this is enough.

After the wipe, you may want to pull the memory card out, reset it again and then take photos (of Harmbe?) till it runs out of memory.

Well I just wanted to see if I can get any help from here.

At least how long it takes for shipments to arrive from Korea to Tunisia...
And yeah I already did what you told me about making a back up of all the files and factory reset the phone.

you already asked and got an answer.

You said you asked them and they said it would take a month. Nobody can do better than the source.

Whatever

I just came here because mainly whenever I ask freaking Samsung Tunisia anything, since I've been buying products from them for 3 years most the answers I get end up not being true.

This sounds like what I noted.

The only Samsung rep that shows here has not shown they can speak for your area. There are folk that have issues they want to share but since you have an answer, even if you don't believe it, I think it's as good as you are going to get.

how would any one here know???
Sep 4, 2016 4:00PM PDT

Nobody here knows how long it will take to ship, it all depends upon their supplies. the sooner you sent it in, the faster you will get it back. At this times supplies of replacement phones are in short supply since it is a world wide recall. so the real answer is, you will get it when you get it. That is the best anyone here can say.

Um... Okay I guess cya...
