Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet: Bluetooth not transferring from S3

by spottyhairbrush / November 1, 2012 5:10 AM PDT

Hi there,

I would REALLY appreciate anyone's help on these seemingly basic but frustrating problems...

I have the new Samsung galaxy 10.1 note tablet and the Samsung S3 phone. I am having problems sending pictures across from my phone via bluetooth to my tablet even though they are paired. Was wondering someone could advise?

I am also wondering if someone could help me figure out how to save pictures people have emailed me into my "gallery" from my downloads folder. I would really like have them all in one place!

Thanks so much in advance!

File transfer over Bluetooth is well, a problem.

That's up to the version of Android and it may not be implemented.

Here's what I use instead -> DROPBOX.

Remember what you are asking for might not be implemented.

Thanks for your answer Rob, got to say I'm quite disappointed...doesn't seem to be quite as "smooth" as they make out before you buy! Dropbox is Ok but it has a limit which I'm nearly at...just wanted to be able to do this quickly and easily Sad
SAMSUNG- sort it out please, this failing is nursery school technology level! What's the use in having products that can do groundbreaking new things if the basics don't work??!!!!!!

You may want to check with Google on this one.

OS features such as Bluetooth file transfers are down at the OS level. The only reason I know anything about this is that I author apps that do serial port protocol over bluetooth (SPP) so I'm always digging around these OSes to see if they have that. Along the way you learn a little. In short, not up to Samsung to implement it.

You do bring up a good point. Do consumers feel the device maker should fix up the OS?
