Hi, I finally found it. It's not a cable problem. You just have to install Media feature Pack version KB3010081 (108.9Mb >> https://www.microsoft.com/fr-be/download/details.aspx?id=48231 ) and the version KB3099229 (110.4Mb >> https://www.microsoft.com/fr-FR/download/details.aspx?id=49919 ) (both on microsoft site), after you have to reboot, and replug your smartphone, and it will be recognized without installing Kies.
Enjoy.
I have just signed up with Virgin Mobile and they have provided a Samsung Core Prime Smart phone (SM-G361F). When I plug it into my PC via the USB cable it doesn't always connect. If you look in Device Manager it is shown with an exclamation mark. If you look in the driver properties it says: Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37). If I un-install the driver and re-plug in the phone it installs the driver and it works perfectly OK. I had this problem with an early Amazon kindle. In my opinion it is a problem with the driver and the PC software. The drivers is: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd;Portable Devices; Value SM-G361F; Microsoft 21/06/2006;6.1.7601.18738. PC is Windows 7 professional (64bit) all the latest patches are installed. I suspect that the this driver of 21 JUne 2006 may be rather OLD! Is there a later driver on your web site? It would be good
to get this phone consistenly connecting to my PC via the USB sockets. The cable is brand new provdided with the phone.
