FYI: Support for Firefox 1.5 ends April 24...

by John.Wilkinson / March 20, 2007 10:16 PM PDT

Mozilla has been updating Firefox 1.5 with security patches simultaneously with Firefox 2.0 in an effort to support users who have been unable or unwilling to make the upgrade due to compatibility issues. However, all support for Firefox 1.5 will terminate on April 24, 2007, so all Firefox users who have not upgraded are strongly urged to do so. After that time your browser will be vulnerable to all new attacks.

Mozilla Foundation...
by John.Wilkinson / April 10, 2007 4:49 AM PDT

Mozilla announced it last month, including notices on the download site for Firefox 1.5.x.x. (click here), and it has since been announced by various news sources and official blogs. I usually do link to sources of such announcements but given this one's wide-spread coverage on the Mozilla site I left it off. Sorry about that.

I use FF practically all the time but I don't know what version I have. How do I find this? My version is not listed under properties.
Thanks! Betsy :-D
