General discussion

funny email in my outlook inbox

Feb 5, 2004 1:22AM PST

I'm wondering if you could give your thoughts on this email i received. i haven't opened it. in the from part it says "mail delivery system" and in the subject it says "warning; message 1AoIve-0006bp-R5 delayed 24 hours"
Is it a message that i need or is it a fake virus one. can a virus be triggered by opening an email or do i have to open a .exe file. thanks in advance, frank.

I will not duplicate the content here, but in short, the MyDOOM virus is sending emails in a SPOOFED mode to entice people to open them.

Just delete them and move on.
