Fun with thomas.loc.gov

thomas.loc.gov can be a load of fun since you can search all the House and Senate Bills back to the 93rd Congress. I found out for instance, that by a narrow margin of 5 Senate bills, John Kerry has beat out Donald Duck for the number of sponsored bills that ultimately passed into public law. Here is a list of his accomplishments in the last 16 years:

S.423 : -- Private Bill; A bill for the relief of Kil Joon Yu Callahan. (introduced 1/29/1987)
S.1563 : A bill to authorize appropriations to carry out the National Sea Grant College Program Act, and for other purposes. (introduced 7/25/1991)
S.1206 : A bill to redesignate the Federal building located at 380 Trapelo Road in Waltham, Massachusetts, as the "Frederick C. Murphy Federal Center". (introduced 7/1/1993)
S.1636 : A bill to authorize appropriations for the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 and to improve the program to reduce the incidental taking of marine mammals during the course of commercial fishing operations, and for other purposes. (introduced 11/8/1993)
S.791 : A bill to amend the Small Business Act with respect to the women's business center program. (introduced 4/14/1999)
