Clarification Request
What is this "locks me out of games"?
Aug 25, 2017 2:28PM PDT

Is that another way to write "my PC hangs" or freezes?

I looked at the report and see an older PC. Given the age I'd have to treat it like an old PC. Clean everything, replace all heatsink compound and replace failed or slow fans as a start.

It is...

When I apply fullscreen mode, my computer takes me back to the desktop. When I try to press the game icon again on the taskbar, it just pulls me back to the desktop again....

Seems odd

Speccy reading.

1. Teamviewer is suspect. Why? Due to how it works.
Uninstall, reboot and be sure it's gone.

2. That Nvidia item running from temp is an odd thing.
Get DDU and clean up.

I can't uninstall TeamViewer because I need it, and I've done a DDU just check my new speccy

Then you've left a thing that can break full screen.

I think something's up with the Nvidia drivers.
Aug 25, 2017 4:36PM PDT

setup.exe
Process ID:
10688
User:
SYSTEM
Domain:
NT-MYNDIGHET
Path:
C:\Temp\NVIDIA\3DVision\setup.exe

Is there missing parts of the story here? I see the setup for Nvidia running from temp. That's odd.

Until I read the entire Speccy I'd delete what's in the Temp folder, run DDU and be sure you only have the current drivers for your 980.

Does it look good now?

Nothing to do with your problem.
What's the purpose of this raid setup on your disk?
Why is it running sata 1?
I've never used raid and perhaps that's normal.

I work at keep things simple.

It's not me that's building my PC, it's my Uncle.

Idk
Aug 26, 2017 4:13AM PDT

You might want to ask your uncle the reason for that.
Your either mirroring or stripping.
What's your plan to recover that if one of those disk fail?
Your also now blind to the hdd health with SMART.

My corollary.
Aug 26, 2017 8:31AM PDT

Is that without a smart report you are pretty much driving your car without gauges. You won't know if you are speeding or overheating. Or have a spare tire.

But all that may be fine as a dragster doesn't carry its spare tire.

- Collapse -
Yup
Aug 26, 2017 9:10AM PDT

Most folks don't know SMART is there, don't know how to read it and don't make backups.

Then their upset when the hdd goes poof and years of stuff vanish.

But I suppose that keeps places like pc shops and drivesavers in business.

My sister just had her apple in the shop for 12 days while they tested and then removed some malware.

I asked do you know how you got this stuff......answer NO.
I said well your going to do it again.....answer Silence.

She would be a good dragster driver.

While they do safeguard the driver (user) the rest of the machinery tends to break apart or vanish.
