full screen mode in VISTA

Some weeks ago i have changed my opsystem from XP to VISTA. There are some old progs - my favorite ones!!!- wich does not start with VISTA, even i tried to make them compatible to XP, or even VIN2000 or WIN98. The message is: " THIS SYSTEM DOES NOT SUPPORT FULL SCREEN MODE. CHOOSE "CLOSE" TO TERMINATE THE APPLICATION!"
If you have any idea what to do, please let me know here.
Thanks Happy

Most common?

I'm running into people that "upgrade" to Vista yet don't go find the usual 10 drivers for motherboard, video, audio, and more.

Here's an example 10 driver list (yes it's for XP but you do the same for Vista). Read http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7587_102-0.html?forumID=69&threadID=271360&messageID=2699006#2699006

In closing, can I ask why you didn't supply the make and model of the machine so members could pitch in? I'm not asking for that PC information but wonder why you left it out.

VISTA fullscreen mode

In reply to: That's not enough detail for all the drivers.

hy, installed the very-new GF driver sorrily nothing happened. The message still : "this system does not support fullscreen mode.Close application!" After all, these are my favorite old-old-old games - about since 1995! - so i think i give it up on this PC, and i will build another PC using the old harware and a WIN95...
this games are not realy important, but.....!
nice days Happy
