Full SAMSUNG theatre system getting "mode not supported"

Feb 11, 2009 7:08AM PST

I currently get a "mode not supported error" sometime (depending on the order of turning on the system i.e. turning the amp before the dvd player)

Here is what I own:

Samsung LNA650
Samsung BDP2550
Samsung AV-R720

What could be the cause of this? It is fairly annoying so I would like to know to fix this problem.

samsunglover99,

Do you have the latest firmware on the television installed?

Also, are you running Anynet+ functonality on any of the units?

firmware

I downloaded the latest firmware off of the samsung website (2007.0) and installed it in hopes of fixing it. I only realized that the latest firmware I installed is the older version of the one I had originally (2008.9) even though it said it was updated on the website. Is this going to result in any further issues for my tv? Where can I download the 2008.9 firmware again? I also updated the firmware for my bdp 2550 in hopes of fixing the error.

Further issues...

I don't believe it will result in further issues with your TV, but the latest firmware on the television isn't available on the website. I don't have an answer to why that is.

Are you still getting the mode not supported error, and what are you doing before it happens?
