Question

full featured PHP server On PC

Jul 4, 2012 6:04PM PDT

HI, Can someone guide me to setup a full functional PHp server on my local server. I'm using Windows Xp. Currently using wamp server, but some scripts fail due to many reasons, like some require Zend Optimizer, some require URL_rewrite. I need to setup like a professional webhosters do. Please someone guide me Step by Step to activate these on current server or suggest me something else.....

Thanks in advance
Shishir

An alternative.

Use another machine as your local server. And don't run XP on that. That's what a professional webhoster does.

If it has to be cheap: a second hand PC that runs Linux and an Ethernet-cable to connect the 2 are all you need. That won't break the bank.

None! Why?

Because such features can be extended, it's a never ending chase to get that new or other feature.

Why not go with VirtualBox with some Linux in the VM then you can have the real thing?
