Camera has gone fuzzzy. Some one said my distance sensor was bad? Can they be replaced? Ball park fig?

BOTH THE VIEW FINDER, AND THE VIEWER OF PICTURES IS FUZZY AND CANTED. IS THERE A LOGIC CHIP FOR THIS CAMER?

That's an old camera. Personally, I would recommend buying a new camera; a new camera will perform better in just about every way. But if you can't bring yourself to buying a new camera, you could get a used S5000 from eBay for well under $100.

Before you declare the S5000 dead, take a good look at the front of the lens (glass).

See if you find a fingerprint or other type of dirt on the lens.

Just a few days ago I encountered this. I was visiting a friend and they were amazed at the sharp pictures I had with me. "I think I need a new camera."

So I took a look and yup, the lens was not shiny clean.
