Do you use a firewall and/or a DSL modem? If so, check your Internet Settings (In IE go to Tools --> Internet Options) and then in the Browsing section, scroll down to the checkbox that says "Use passive FTP", make sure it is selected. MSN Explorer is based on IE, so if this works, it should make it work in MSN as well.
Mozilla is a completely seperate browser with different settings, which is why it works while IE does not.
Hope this helps.

I have a compaq nc-6000 notebook and my os is xp pro-sp2. Driver updates from HP/Compaq are downloaded via FTP. I am unable to download anything from the website using either windows internet explorer or MSN explorer. However, I have no problem downloading with mozilla.
Is xp blocking ftp downloads, and if so, where do I find the settings to permit downloads? I would note that on all my other computers that use xp sp2 I have no similar download problem.
