Frustrated!

Jan 12, 2006 1:35AM PST

I have a Sony mini Dv Camcorder (I believe the model # is 201). It came with a program called Imagemixer. I have loaded all my clips on this program. I have over 150. Now it will not let me add anymore or even look at anymore. When I click on it, it just keeps saying creating a timetable over and over again and then I finally I have to shut my computer off and restart. I have set up a timeline on some of the clips that I already have entered but I am totally stuck. The computer I have is a Dell Dimension 4600 with Windows XP. I guess my questions are: What is a easy program for the beginner to creat DVD's that I don't have to hook up my video camera but I can get the information off of the mini Dv's? Can I tranfer all the clips I have already loaded to another program. Any suggestions??

This forum is dedicated to making suggestions and reporting problems with Cnet, particularly these forums. Since you have a technical issue with your camcorder, it would be best to repost your question in the Camcorder forum, where you should receive a timely solution.

This thread was originally in the Forum Feedback Forum, and my post directed Kelly here. However, it appears that Lee is backstage today and opted to move the thread here. Thus, it appears that I was lost, but in reality it is this location that was lost. Make sense? Cool

SONY DVD Camcorder. Model DVD201E

Similar issues with complexity of this system, as your Sony DV.
Cannot get DVD recorded on Sony to open in Windows Media. Instead it insists on using Power DVD, or its own stuff...ImageMixer...It will also open in RealPlayer...but I need it to do its stuff in Windows Media 10.

As for Imagemixer as a simple application to help you....forget it!....it is just so complicated and unhelpful.

Any help gratefully acknlwoledged and will rep-ay your help with a few funny jokes...now there's a bargain!

Thanks in advance,

Brendan
