by stewart norrie / January 24, 2006 2:39 AM PST

Iam still trying to see a demo on an affordable projector Yesterday I went to Frys and checked there home theater room what I saw was the most horrible picture I have ever seen, upon leaving I took a peek and saw a Sony 006 Qualla.? then went to Magnolia and saw a chieppie $1000 projector and it looked 3 times better than the Sony. I have been to every home theater store on san jose ca. and nothing can be found. O well I heading to San Francisco today I know they sell a lot of affordable front projectors . but try to find one on display is impossible so folks do you know of any store in the san francisco bay erea where I can check them out have a nice day

Stewart,

Also try www.theprojectorpros.com. A very informative website about projection systems with links to all the high-end products. You're just not looking in the right places. If you are going to "Open-box Fry's" (or I also call it Frustration Fry's), you will never find any high-end product there. If you are looking at a projection system that is 480i, that certainly isn't anything better than standard definition.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
