Front Audio to Motherboard connections....

Hi

I'm trying to connect the Front Audio ports (Headphones and microphone jacks) to the motherboard, but the markings on the cables don't match up with the motherboard connections.

My motherboard has these connections:
1 PORT1_L
2 AUD_GND
3 PORT1_R
4 PRESENCEJ
5 PORT2_R
6 SENSE1_RETURN
7 SENSE_SEND
8 EMPTY (KEY???)
9 PORT2_L
10 SENSE2_RETURN

and my front panel has these connections:

Speaker Out L
Return L
Return R
Mic in
Speaker out R
Ground
Mic Bias

I can figure out where the ground goes, but thats about it? Any suggestions?

Motherboard is Foxconn 925A01-8EKRS2, if that helps.

Thanks

the book that came with your motherboard should spell it all out, if you have a separate audio card consult that book.
I am no help, I know, but that is how we all learn about PC's!

Thanks - but I have been working through the manual that accompanies the motherboard.

Unfortunatly it has only a brief section which shows where the pins are (which I knew anyway) and a simple diagram indicating the 'names' of the motherboard pins.

I included that information in the original post, my problem is matching up the names of those 9 pins on the motherboard to the seven leads which come from the front panel.

I've checked with the manufacturer's website, but no help there either.....

...any ideas anyone?
