Usually, if I have a file open in, say, MS Word, I click on File>Save and then File>Exit to close the program. But in other programs it might be somewhat different.
Then I shut down and restart and (in this case) go into Internet Explorer>Tools>Windows Update to check for updates that still have to be done.
Then I'm ready to install Windows 10, if I want to. Are you sure you want to install it. Some people like it, other people don't and go back to Windows 7.

Hi all,
I received a notification from Microsoft that I am legible for a FREE windows 10 full version download.
I am running Windows 7
Yesterday I did the download but have a problem
I have to restart the laptop to install important update before be able to install Windows10 and I get this warning:
Windows can’t update important files and services why the system is using them. Save any open files and restart the computer and then try to check for important updates. I tried to restart without doing anything and of course is not working.
Any idea how to close/save files and services?? I don’t have any idea so a step by step procedure is more than welcome.
Thank for your answers
