From Windows 10 to 8 and forgot password

by Taunora / August 9, 2015 10:33 AM PDT

I was having too many problems with Windows 10, internet discontinuing, slow, apps not working, so I uninstalled 10 and went back to 8, but now I can't remember my password for 8. I have heard that you have to have the password you originally had. . I do show my name on my screen and my e-mail address under it. I do not have a disc or a recovery cd. No matter how many times I try passwords I could remember, but are wrong it doesn't prompt me to change it. Can anyone help please?

I'm unaware that you have the same password.

Recover access with Install DVD

You're using a Microsoft account (Windows Live email address) as your machine's login. Most password tools (such as Offline NT Password & Registry Editor) don't support Microsoft account. The following tricks should work for your case:

Option 1: Boot your PC from Windows 10 install DVD, then replace utilman.exe and create a local admin account, so you can log in to the system:

Option 2: Reset your email password from Microsoft's online password reset page or use a password bypass tool:

Good luck!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
