The scary kind of superstition is when...

...everybody saw it and then somebody saw it too but somebody comes along and claim, "How did he got there? I didn't see him run."

Now anybody who was not paying attention at the game all of a sudden became doubtful. Meanwhile, nobody wants to do anything about it. So, everybody who saw what happened decided to cheerfully leave with Babe Ruth to celebrate the victory.

And the great truth of the story was shared throughout to this day.
