Friends computer problem

Mar 14, 2011 5:05AM PDT

A friend has told me that when she can get on computer she gets the blue screen, the a msg of dirty files and items being aborted.

Can someone give me some information about a blue screen and what steps can be taken if any to get her computer back to working order.

The blue screen has an error number. If you can't read it, because it disappears too fast, look in Event Log for the message. Or set the PC to NOT automatically reboot in case of an error so you can write it down. http://www.wintipz.com/XP/RebootFailure.htm tells how.
Not that it tells much, but it tells something, sometimes, and it's better than having no info at all.

What exactly is "a msg of dirty files". If it's a message, tell when it appears and the exact full text.

Also please tell the details about "items being aborted".

Is there any error message that it delivers while the blue screen?

There are many chances that a pc might go blue screen. I guess you can try some free registry cleaner or pc tune up, pc repair tool to clean the PC.

And it is also recommend to reinstall the system.
