First of all, your friend doesn't have SP2 installed on her system. Unless, i read your thread wrong and she has windows 2000. Anyways, i would go to microsoft and download there free anti-spyware program

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=321cd7a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en

BEFORE RUNNING ANY SCANS MAKE SURE TO SHUT OFF SYSTEM RESTORE
Install it and to remove most of the spyware you will need to run scan in safe mode.
here is how to boot in safe mode

Also,
download this anti-trojan program called trojan hunter
here is the link

www.trojanhunter.com

install it and run scan in safe mode

Hope this helps
