Friend's Virus

This, I hear is a nasty one. It removes the icons and task pane. The screen is just white. No ctrl alt del; no alt r(cmd); nothing.

The harder part is that the computer was initially set up by someone who really knew what they were doing, which means F8 takes me what I believe an option to boot using the master or slave. I can, however, get to the BIOS. But I haven't figured out what I might be able to do in there.

This is XP, btw.
