This, I hear is a nasty one. It removes the icons and task pane. The screen is just white. No ctrl alt del; no alt r(cmd); nothing.
The harder part is that the computer was initially set up by someone who really knew what they were doing, which means F8 takes me what I believe an option to boot using the master or slave. I can, however, get to the BIOS. But I haven't figured out what I might be able to do in there.
This is XP, btw.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
