There's not much to work with here. If it's in warranty, use that.
The most common lock up cause I encounter is the lack of maintenance issue. Do you keep up with the canned air to the vents on a monthly basis? I do this on the 1st of the month and since it's monthly if I forget it's no problem at all.
There are other causes such as malware so be sure it's clean using Grif's list at http://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/how-to-remove-pup-option-603542/#post-f742c795-5881-433b-a29b-6d758efe5cd3
My Windows 10 laptop will work fine for a day or two, and then for some reason, I'll turn it on, and I won't be able to find the mouse on the screen or I'll see it and it'll barely move. Ctrl+Alt+Del, Esc, and Shift all don't work. I usually have to do a hard reboot.
Also, when I try to fix it through Safe Mode, the safe mode menu will come up, and though I try to choose 5 (Safe Mode with Networking), it bypasses that menu and goes right to regular Safe Mode.
