FreewareUpdater: Repeated exception alert

We got an email today from TechRepublic advising us about a new product, FreewareUpdater, that not only informs the user where to find freeware online, but automatically updates it, too. Trouble is, it keeps sending the following alert. Does anyone have any suggestions for solving this problem? We use Windows XP Service Pack 2, Firefox 2.0.0.13, and a variety of other programs.

It's a failure on their end...

Basically, their application is attempting to contact their server for a list of available software/updates, but their server is offline/cannot be found. The only thing you can do is give it a day or two and try again, hoping they correct their server issues.

Thanks. We have tried to locate Securelogy Consulting via a variety of searches in order to ask them about this problem, but we can't locate them at all. Does anyone know how to find and then get help from them?

They don't offer any contact information, and they failed to finish setting up their forums, but their website was registered using the e-mail address emmanuel.aigbehi--at--gmail--dot--com, with him being listed as the technical and administrative contact.

I'm not sure what else you can do. I suspect that TechRepublic would not be too pleased that a product they recommend is failing, and so they need to know.

Why not post a message in their forums?
