Free software similar to Google Earth?

by Big Steve / September 15, 2008 1:39 PM PDT

Is there a mapping software that's free and is similar to Google Earth? If not free something that will let you view areas in almost real time and not months old images like what I currently see on Google Earth? One of the cable news channels mentioned another software they were using which they used to zoom in on areas of Texas that were affected by Hurricane Ike. I've already tried Google Earth and their images of Texas are several months old.

Or if you want to see images of the recent hurricanes, perhaps Nasa will have some.

The most beautiful phone ever has one wildly annoying issue

The Samsung Galaxy S8's fast speeds and fantastic curved screen make it a top phone for 2017, but the annoying fingerprint reader could sour your experience.
