FREE RECORDING DOWNLOAD

i'm looking for a free download to add to my vista to take the place of skype recorder. skype recorder is not trustworthy, and i've lost precious interview time in the past.
i have a weekly radio program (through an online program) and need something which will be more reliable.
when i've experienced problems in the past, they simply tell me to uninstall and reinstall. which is fine, but i've lost my program !

audacity. as long as it's reliable, that's the issue.

Windows is not that reliable so it may fail your criteria.

Sorry but when it comes to reliability, I can't think of Windows as such or any app on Windows.

But it is one of the best solutions I know of. Then again, if the user goofs, it's unreliable in their view?
