take a look at www.cardrecovery.com
I'm looking for a free program to recover a movie that I deleted from my Canon digital camera using my Mac. Any suggestions? I know it's somewhere on my memory card, but how can I recover it?

Sorry to interrupt the post a little bit. Hope I can add something. I think "mrmacfixit" didn't notice that "karbohm" is using a Mac machine. That cardrecovery only works under Windows. As to free recovery programs under Mac, I can only recommend this PhotoRec http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec
It is freeware, cross-platform. But the only drawback of this program is it is a command line tool. If you perfer to software with GUI, then try this Photo Recovery for Mac
http://www.anysoftwaretools.com/photo-recovery-for-mac.html
need paid but good, able to recover photos, videos and music.
Note: If you really want that movie back, before you use data recovery app, better stop using your Canon camera to take more photos or movies or saving more files to the memory card as chances of recovery may be greatly decreased.
