Free Music Downloads and How to Use it

by learningnow / November 1, 2009 8:24 PM PST

I am new at this and would like to know how I can download music to my computer for free? Is there a free website that will allow me to do this? The reason I would like to do this is because I am creating videos for a special education class room (5th-8th graders) whereby I use still shots in the video but would like to play music in the background. I don't know how to get the music to my computer nor what website to use to view the music available for free, can someone help me? I am using Roxio DVD Builder to do this, which works GREAT but now I need to know how to get the music to my computer so I can select it from there.

Thank you, in advance, for any suggestions, walk-throughs, assistance you can provide me with.

Why not rip from some CD?
by Kees Bakker / November 1, 2009 8:45 PM PST

You might have music CD's yourself. Or the school might have? Or the kids might have; wouldn't it be nice to have them make their own choice?

Thank you for your suggestions, it was a GREAT one, I just wish the parents of these children would think like you do! I've sent notes home with the children, asking for music that is of their interest and likings but I've received none. I thought I would put this video together to show the children how the Halloween party turned out being most of the them were in total AWE and probably didn't see half everything that was going on.

Thanks again,

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
