Free Mac Software

Feb 18, 2006 11:47AM PST

I posted the Neowin list the other day for freeware, however their list did not specify which operating system each program was geared towards. If you are on a Mac, here are a few sites that I have in my bookmarks that you may enjoy. I know a few of the sites have the same apps but one site may have another one that the other might not have (I hope that makes sense, lol).

By the way, the first one on my list would be the one to checkout first, it appears to be the best of the best. If I had a Mac, I'd test some of these out for you Sad

Thanks to your post, I found one freeware program I really like, thought I'd pass it along for any anyone else..

Very nice app that allows you to flip through your downloaded (or ripped) albums the way it used to be done; it's a virtual flip through your album covers!

limited life
Feb 18, 2006 12:23PM PST

Don't feel too bad, I noticed during the install that it has a limited life span during the beta phase. This version only works until March 31st, and you have to re-download a new one after that.

Looks pretty cool, though. All they need to add is that album slapping noise that records use to make as you flipped through them and they'd have a masterpiece!

That really sucks, I hate it when they make you download another one after 30 days.

Mac Hints & Tips

I just saw these sites on del.icio.us and remembered you saying you were a relatively new Mac user, thought I'd share.

Scroll down on the front page to view back issues, I think the new issues cost (not 100% sure).

Not sure which Mac you purchased, if you have a G4 Powerbook here is a neat site that I also saw about how to install new hardware.

I'm assuming this adds stuff to your menu bar. The list looks pretty cool. If I had a Mac, I'd definitely want to try some of them out.
