Free Hosting Suggestions

by virtua / January 19, 2006 9:41 AM PST

I am looking for a free subdomain hosting site with at least 150mb webspace and PHP with MySQL. I have been searching a lot but havent really had any luck. I would like to know if anyone has any sites that they know of.

My Suggestions

If you can get by without it I would highly recommend 50webs free web hosting. I hosted my domain with them (for free) for quite a while until I could afford some hosting. Here are a few others that I have found in the past few days on del.icio.us. Bare in mind, I have not tested any of these.

This is a good website to track down free hosts:

And if you can do without the PHP for a little while, like I said, check out 50webs, when you get their confirmation email you will have to save it to an HTML file so you can actually read it! lol But, they do have pretty good web hosting services:

I have also used the following services, however, they weren't my favorite. They didn't have the best uptime in the world, but supposedly according to their recent emails they have sent me...they have corrected the problems. BUT, I am no longer using them since I purchased some hosting. May be worth a look though.

Good luck!

Your specs are probably a bit on the high side for a free account, but you can poke around on www.freewebhostingtalk.com and see what you can find. Perhaps you can barter or something for some space.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
