Free backup software for mac

I have a couple of folders that I want to backup. I tried timemachine but it tries to backup my entire harddrive. I don't have an external hard disk of that size. I tried removing all the folders I don't want backed up but still time machine doesn't find enough space. Is there any free backup software for mac that will let me backup a couple of folders to an external hard drive. I tried CrashPlan, Integro, SyncAny but nothing works and everyone tries to get you to upgrade to Pro

Re: backup for mac

How about just using Finder to copy a couple of folders from your internal hard disk to your external? That's a perfect backup.
Then once in a while in Finder copy the files recently created or changed (just sort on changed date descending) and your backup is complete again.

I can only assume that the rest

of your data is not important at all.
Kee's suggestion is what I was going to say but give the very low price of high capacity hard drives, it would make more sense to backup the entire machine for that occasion when the hard drive crashes, and it will.
