Microsoft was only offering Beta 2 to a limited number of people, so they pulled the download (free) and DVDs (users paid S&H) on June 30th. However, they're now giving away free DVDs that are left over ahead of the release of RC1. They're hoping the little survey and giveaway will help encourage more users to find out more about Vista. (Recent polls showed that around 20% of IT heads didn't know much of anything about the next Windows OS, so they're probably worries about reaching the masses.) You can read other comments by clicking here for the thread in the Vista forum.
Well im preaty sure you can download the thing anyway but for some reason i really like getting a free physical thing. So a free thing from Microsoft feels good.lol. well get your free cd from windows india.
but you still have to take a test to get the cd. whats that all about.
