I get a look at the Web Speccy report. When a complaint is like yours I often find iffy drives by looking at the Smart Values 01 and 07. Just so you know this is very common but easy to spot.
The large environments do cause the HDD to be a factor. Let's get to it.
Read how to share the report at https://www.piriform.com/docs/speccy/using-speccy/publishing-a-speccy-profile-to-the-web
After that we'll look into specific optimizing for one of those games. To cover all the bases, share your results of Userbenchmark.com
First time poster so apologies if I'm totally in the wrong place.
I'm looking for some insight into my framerate problems I experience using my current set-up. If anyone can point out the flaw in my hardware I'd appreciate it.
Specs are as follows.
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Processor: AMD FX - 8350 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~4.0GHz
16384MB RAM
Direct X 12.
Graphics: Geforce GTX 1080
I am experiencing regular drops in FPS for a second at a time every 5 or 6 seconds no matter what quality I play some games on, such as Battlefield 1, Mass effect Andromeda or Hunt: Showdown.
Mobas and lower quality games don't really have the issue, only these games with large environments.
I think it may have something to do with the 8 core processor but I could be mistaken.
This happens on Low all the way to Ultra quality, it seems to make no difference.
Can anyone tell me what the issue is?
Thanks
